WANA (Apr 27) – The Russian Embassy in Tehran announced that, at the request of Iranian partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the immediate dispatch of several aircraft carrying specialized personnel from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

 

The Russian Embassy in Tehran further stated that these emergency response teams, consisting of experienced experts, will be deployed to assist in firefighting operations at Shahid Rajaee Port.

 

The Embassy added: “We wish success to the Russian and Iranian rescuers as they work to extinguish the fire and save lives at this strategically important port for Iran’s economy.”

 

Previously, President Putin expressed his condolences and sympathy in a message to senior Iranian officials following the explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas on Saturday, which resulted in casualties and injuries among Iranians.

Following the explosion at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas on Saturday, which has so far left over 700 injured and 25 dead, numerous countries have expressed their solidarity and condolences to Iran.
